Uruapan in February

Hello everyone, we're off in February to get some more work done on the orphanage we started working on in September. A group went down over the Christmas holidays and finished the courses of block on the walls, and they poured the concrete cap which tops off the walls. Praise the Lord! Now we can go down and install the plumbing and pour the concrete floor. Cost for this trip will be $300 Canadian. This includes transportation, accommodations and most meals. On the way down you will need to pack enough food to get you to Mexico. We don't like to spend too much time at gas sations on the way down. And we have a bathroom on board.

Once there, we will be staying at the Bethesda Mission in Uruapan. At the Mission we will be treated to native mexican dishes by Angela. Angela is the resident caretaken at the Mission. She goes above and beyond on a daily basis. Angela we miss you and we'll see you soon!

We will make a stop or two at Gabriel House Center for Handicapped Children of Mexico, while we're there. Community bbq's are always popular. On this trip we will be doing at least two, one in Uruapan and one at the Tijuana Dump. Keep checking back to check the mission calendar below for updates to the schedule.

Our schedule is always flexable to God's leading, and we enjoy spontaneous ministry opportunities. This could mean showing the Jesus video or doing street ministry when the concrete doesn't show up.

We usually manage to take some time for a swim, a visit to the Bufadora, and maybe some time in La Touristco in downtown Ensenada.
