Biography
John was raised in Northern B.C. and moved to Revelstoke with his wife and young family over ten years ago.
He was drawn to Revelstoke by the incredible natural beauty and opportunities to experience God's creation.
He enjoys snowboarding, skiing, swimming, jogging, and biking. John has owned and operated many businesses
over the last twenty years and felt called to full-time ministry 5 years ago. He recently graduated with a B.A.
Ministry degree from Prairie Bible College, in Three Hills Alberta, where the Romanchuks have lived for the past 4 years.
While in Three Hills, they were members of the Victory Church of Three Hills who, as their mother church, have commissioned
and sent John and Melody to pioneer a Victory Church plant in their hometown of Revelstoke.
Melody was born and raised in the East-Bay area of California. After graduating with a B.S. Psychology from California State University,
Chico she moved to Canada and married John. They have since been blessed with 6 wonderful children: Luke, Molly, Faith, Isabel, Joy, and
James. She enjoys quality time with friends and family, baking sourdough and artisan breads, biking, and walking in the amazing splendor
of Revelstoke.
Melody and John have always worked alongside each other, complimenting each other in numerous business ventures.
Now they are thrilled to be working side-by-side towards the furtherance of God's Kingdom in Revelstoke and beyond.
John's Life-Verse
No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful.
Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11 (New International Version)
"God's hand of discipline (training/correction) is ever-present in my life. It never feels good,
but I am learning to not despise it, but embrace it. God's people often mistakenly credit Satan for that which
is not from him but from a loving God, training his people for righteousness and peace."
Melody's Life-Verse
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes:
first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. Romans 1:16 NIV
